I work with adults, adolescents and couples with varying challenges including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, parenting issues, sexual abuse, and post traumatic stress disorder.
I use a psychodynamic approach to therapy. Psychodynamic is insight-oriented therapy in which we look to your past to gather information about your present state and current relationships. By understanding how the knots formed, we can then begin to untangle them. I also weave in other methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, relational therapy, a narrative therapy approach, emotionally-focused therapy, and mindfulness, when appropriate.
